Constant integration of expertise
1877: Founding of the company Grimonprez, originally a manufacturer of agricultural machinery
1885: Expansion of the production with stationary coal gas engines and relocation of the company to Mouscron
1913: Gold medal at the World Fair in Ghent
1925: Ateliers Grimonprez focuses on the production of stone polishing and cutting machines and woodworking machinery, which are renowned all over the world
1950: Launch of the precision mechanics subcontracting department and of the production of gears and similar pieces
1970: Expansion of the subcontracting department at the expense of the stone polishing and cutting machinery, the production of which will be shut down completely in 1986
1997: Ateliers Grimonprez et Fils (AGF) are taken over by Gearing Industry SA. The future of the company is secured. Further specialisation in the supply of gears and transmission parts
2006: New name Grimonprez Transmission Gears SA (GTG) and relocation to new plant in Dottignies. From here on out we continue growing and preparing our future serenely
2008: Development of ‘Gear R&D’ and ‘Co-Engineering’
2021: Founding of Grimonprez Production Gears SA (GPG) and acquisition of Manoir Engrenages company formerly known as Engrenages Ribaut
